The eye opening story about gender identity in my life is that there is none. Somehow I have managed to come this far in life without having thought about the difficulties that many with different gender identities face. In school It wasn’t something talked about.. In my adult life I have also not been a part of gender identity. There is a complete acceptance, I don’t question if someone should or should not be in a bathroom. Or if someone is a boy or a girl or different. Everyone just is. Personally I don’t recall ever questioning my gender. At times I have shyed away from hyper masculine types. I enjoy sports and being competitive, but not at the expense of brutality. I find I m a bit more compassionate and caring than the typical man, but I never questioned it. Im who I m.
